Yep, that's what I thought

Not a very good blogger am I. Here I am.. more than a month after my first Blog! Hello all! It's the day after Christmas.. just barely, and I've survived. I dont' know what I whine about. Compared to some folks, our Holidays are positively tame around here. BUT.. I DID accomplish making all the Christmas Cards..AND getting them in the mail on time. Making several scrappy type gifts for friends and family.. not only that.. PLUS the girls and I made cut out cookies on Christmas Eve. For some reason this year, that to me, seemed the epitome of being the 'good mom'. I just had to do it. The fact that I did it very very (VERY) poorly doesn't matter much. In the end we had a BLAST, and had Daddy looking over his paper at us more than once in our silliness.. that's what it was all about. Oh.. and we got about 10 yummy (ugly) cookies out of the deal too.. and lots of raw dough. ergh.
Later today, I have to take Tanya for a bone scan. I hope to heaven that this will be the last test needed to diagnose her back pain! Poor girl. No 14 year old should be in such pain all the time, and I want to get to the bottom of it already. She's nervous about the test, but I understand it's painless other than the IV they start. She's a trooper, and she'll do fine.
Emilee.. she's suffering a stomach virus that just won't quit. Thank goodness today she had mostly good spells with a few owie spells thrown in just to shake her up a bit. I hope she's much better tomorrow! Because I'm sad to say I have to venture into the world of 'returns' tomorrow. ERGH!
Being the less that perfect mother that I am I got some shirts for my son that he feels will shrink too much as soon as they're washed, so I must get gigantor sizes for my very slender son. ergh again. I feel I dissapointed him, and this saddens me. I hope he'll be happy with what I can find in exchange.
Maybe, now that the big holiday is past..we really don't do much for New Year's... I'll get some actual scrapping done. I've missed it. I consider cards mini pages, and I did A LOT of them in the past month.. but they don't satisfy me for a long time like a good page does!
Tanya's getting excited to start sewing again. We got her an excellent basic sewing book for Christmas, with patterns and everything in it, so she'll go back to the foundations. I felt she needed a better base to jump off of. Basically, she just jumped into sewing all on her own, and I guided her a bit here and there, but I'm quite rusty on the basics myself anymore. 4-H was a LONG time ago! (we'll be quiet about exactly HOW long)
Well.. It's past my time. I could turn into a pumpkin soon! That's all for now folks.
